The magic word is racism, and suddenly every deeper failure vanishes. Montréal-Nord is back in the headlines over allegations against police, as reported, and the political class will milk it for the usual sermon: more sensitivity training, more bureaucrats, more moral blackmail. Anything except admitting that decades of imported fragmentation, soft-on-chaos governance, and elite multicultural delusion have turned parts of major cities into permanent tension zones.

This is the Trudeau-era Canadian model in miniature: pack neighbourhoods with demographic change, erode social cohesion, sneer at assimilation, then act shocked when trust between residents and institutions collapses. Police become the disposable middlemen, blamed for enforcing order in environments our rulers helped destabilize. Liberal Canada loves diversity as an abstraction, right up until it produces exactly what any serious country would expect: conflict, grievance politics, and another round of anti-police theatre instead of national self-preservation.
