🇨🇦 'It took 16 hours': About half of Google reviews of Canadian hospitals are negative, study finds
Half the reviews are negative, wait times show up in half of those, and the expert class still rushes to soothe everyone that this does not necessarily mean patients are having a bad time. Right, because 16 hours in limbo, 12 hours without seeing a doctor, and repeated cancelled surgery are apparently just vibes. The study reported 47.9 per cent negative reviews in a 1,000-review sample, rising from 45.7 per cent in 2017-2019 to 50.1 per cent in 2020-2022.
This is the late-stage Canadian formula: failing systems, endless caveats, and managerial language about actionable feedback while ordinary people sit in pain. Canadians are told to worship the model, never judge outcomes, and certainly never connect collapsing access to the political class that spent years posturing about every fashionable cause except basic state capacity. If your hospitals are crowded, delayed, and grinding people down on the most vulnerable day of their lives, that is not a messaging problem. That is regime failure with a triage bracelet.
