🇨🇦 Ottawa launches a watchdog that admits it cannot stop the crime
The sharpest line in this whole farce came from Ottawa’s own new commissioner: the foreign influence office will not prevent foreign interference. Perfect. Another Trudeau-era-style bureaucracy that exists to document decay, not stop it. Anton Boegman starts Tuesday, still waiting for security briefings, and Canadians are supposed to believe this is a serious sovereign response. As reported, the registry is built to expose legitimate influence activities while covert operations, transnational repression, and actual interference get kicked to the RCMP and intelligence agencies after the fact.
So the state’s grand answer to hostile foreign meddling is paperwork, a website, and fines from $250 to $1 million for the people honest enough to register. Meanwhile, the people doing real damage obviously will not line up to confess. That is the globalist governance model in one neat Canadian package: create a transparency theatre, claim accountability, and leave the country just as vulnerable. Sovereignty reduced to forms, consultants, and press releases.
