🇨🇦 Haitians eye Canada as U.S. temporary protected status ends
The sharpest line in this whole mess is that the door is really wide open for them and any other French speaker. There it is: Canada isn’t being treated as a country with borders, capacity, or obligations to its own citizens, but as the backup processing centre for America’s immigration fallout. Nearly 300,000 Haitians lost U.S. Temporary Protected Status, and now activists, lawyers, and consultants are openly steering people north, as reported. What could possibly go wrong in a housing crisis, an affordability crisis, and a collapsing trust-in-institutions crisis.
And notice the liberal scam buried in the language: humanitarian panic on the front end, permanent migration pathways on the back end. Express Entry, Francophone streams, work permits, asylum, community pilots, the whole NGO-to-bureaucracy conveyor belt is right there. Safe Third Country is supposed to mean something, yet everyone involved is already brainstorming exceptions, loopholes, and limbo management. This is how sovereignty dies in Canada now, not with a debate, but with a shrug, a consultant, and another open-door excuse.
