🇨🇦 I’ve never seen such a lack of transparency
That’s not a partisan blogger talking. That’s Don Drummond, a budget veteran since 1977, looking at Mark Carney’s Ottawa and basically saying the books are being run like a shell game. Since April, Carney has piled on a national AI strategy, food security scheme, BC prosperity deal and a West Coast pipeline push, while Desjardins economist Randall Bartlett says there’s roughly $40 billion in extra spending over 10 years that does not appear properly accounted for, as reported.
This is the globalist managerial class in its purest form: endless announcements, zero clarity, and taxpayers treated like serfs funding elite vanity projects. Carney even claims Ottawa has already provisioned for 4 per cent of GDP in total defence spending by 2030, with 5 per cent to come, yet economists say the path is nowhere visible in the fiscal framework. Translation: spend now, explain never. After the Trudeau era burned trust, debt and sovereignty, Carney’s answer is more centralized spending fog dressed up as technocratic competence.
