🇨🇦 66 bank cards, no charges, websites still running
That is Trudeau-era Canada in one sentence. A Vancouver man gets caught with 66 bank cards and $39,200 in cash, RCMP and FINTRAC trace a nationwide online cannabis and mushroom laundering pipeline, the B.C. government alleges more than $1.5 million moved through thousands of EMTs between 2024 and 2026, and yet nobody in the civil forfeiture suit has been criminally charged. Even better, the websites are still online selling away, as reported.
This is what a hollow state looks like: endless surveillance, endless paperwork, endless liberal chest-thumping about safety, and zero sovereign capacity to actually shut down criminal networks in real time. Ottawa can freeze truckers in a weekend, but a multi-year money-laundering and drug operation gets the deluxe bureaucratic spa treatment. Civil forfeiture replaces prosecutions, standards get watered down, and Canadians are told the system is working. No, the system is performing. There is a difference, and the country is paying for it in rot, disorder, and managed decline.
