🇨🇦 B.C. Conservatives criticize Alberta-Ottawa pipeline plan through southern route
The absurdity is baked in: Ottawa and Victoria block the shorter northern route, then act shocked when the replacement route chews through prime farmland in the Fraser Valley. That is the genius of managed decline in Canada today. Keep the tanker moratorium, appease activists, then force energy infrastructure onto some of the most productive soil in the country and call it planning. Even B.C. Conservatives are pointing out the obvious, as reported.
The numbers tell the story. A 1,200-kilometre route to Roberts Bank, a 260-hectare marine terminal on farmland, and storage for 6.5 million barrels, all because David Eby opposed the northern option and Carney folded to the same old political veto racket. Delta holds roughly a quarter of Metro Vancouver’s agricultural land base and produces almost 80 per cent of its cereal crops, but in globalist Canada food security always comes second to elite bargaining and activist theatre. This is what sovereignty erosion looks like in practice: worse routes, higher costs, less farmland, and decisions imposed on local communities by people who never pay for their own mistakes.
