🇨🇦 Ottawa wants to fast-track a port while security warnings pile up
Nothing says competent federal management like rushing a massive B.C. port expansion while security fears are already being flagged. That is the Trudeau-era formula in one scene: speed for the photo op, blindness for the consequences. As reported, Ottawa is pushing this through even as concerns swirl around what a bigger, busier gateway means for criminal infiltration, contraband, and foreign influence. The same class that cannot control the border now wants applause for enlarging another strategic choke point.
Ports are sovereign infrastructure, not globalist toys for trade consultants and federal bureaucrats chasing throughput statistics. If Ottawa cannot guarantee security first, expansion second, then it is not nation-building, it is regime vanity. Canada keeps getting governed like a warehouse attached to the Pacific, open for business and oddly relaxed about who is exploiting it. More volume without control is not growth. It is national self-sabotage with a press release.
