🇨🇦 Canada paid $6.4 billion and still gets the mystery contract
Mark Carney wants Canadians to clap for the Gordie Howe bridge opening while hiding the actual deal. Ottawa paid for the entire crossing, was supposed to recover costs through tolls, and now we get contradictory spin about whether revenues are split before or after debt repayment. Carney says one thing, Trump’s Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick says another, and the PMO goes missing. Even the opposition is demanding the text be released, as reported.
This is Trudeau-era governance with a Bay Street accent: Canadians finance the asset, Washington gets an economic development fund on the U.S. side for 15 years, and our own government treats the public like mushrooms. If the original agreement already let Canada recoup costs, why was a fresh backroom pact needed at all. Because sovereignty under the liberal-globalist class always means the same thing: Canada pays, foreign interests collect, and the details are classified until the damage is done.
