🇨🇦 Ottawa flooded Alberta, now liberals cry over the mop-up
Here’s the absurd part: Alberta has roughly 260,000 temporary residents straining housing, schools, and health care, and the scandal is supposedly that Danielle Smith wants Albertans to vote on who gets taxpayer-funded access. The real scandal is Ottawa and the Trudeau-era mass immigration machine importing population faster than infrastructure can handle, then expecting provinces to smile and bill the public. Even this analysis admits the surge hammered housing supply, class sizes, and health-care access.
Of course the managerial class wraps it in foggy referendum wording and lawyerly contradictions, because clarity would expose the core issue: citizenship is being downgraded while temporary status becomes a back door claim on provincial services. If you pay for a country, you are allowed to decide whether it remains a country or just an admin zone for global labor flows. Ottawa opened the gates, offloaded the costs, and now cries cruelty when Alberta talks sovereignty, borders, and priority for its own people.
