🇨🇦 Majority of Canadians support both pipelines, but Alberta-B.C. project is favoured: poll
So the public is ahead of the ruling class again. A new poll shows 63 per cent support for the Alberta-B.C. pipeline and 55 per cent for Alberta-Ontario, with even B.C. at 62 per cent. After two decades of elite hysteria, lawfare, and eco-theatre, Canadians still understand the obvious: moving our own oil to markets outside the U.S. is basic national interest. Jobs, growth, and energy security are not extremist concepts, no matter how many climate bureaucrats need a safe space over it, as reported.
The real comedy is Ottawa trying to juggle pipeline politics with climate sermonizing. Mark Carney says he absolutely agrees Canada should lean into climate targets, while defending a pipeline with emission-reduction conditions bolted onto it like a bureaucratic purity seal. Translation: they know the country needs infrastructure, but they still have to genuflect before the green priesthood. Meanwhile Quebec predictably drags its feet and the Bloc calls it petroleum madness. Canada does not need another lecture from people who enjoy the benefits of energy while sabotaging the systems that provide it. Build the pipes, drop the ideology, and govern like a sovereign country.
