🇨🇦 Clear and compelling yesterday, no evidence today
The RCMP somehow went from this goes all the way up to the highest level to no evidence in record time. Mike Duheme told Canadians in October 2024 there was strong evidence linking agents of the Indian government to homicides, violent acts, democratic interference, and organized crime. Justin Trudeau piled on with clear and compelling evidence of murder. Now Deputy Commissioner Lisa Moreland says none of Operation Hard Ball links Indian officials to anything, as reported.
So which is it: a foreign state running violence on Canadian soil, or Ottawa once again staging geopolitical theatre for the cameras. Either answer is brutal for a country that can no longer police its own streets, vet who it lets in, or speak consistently about national security for more than one news cycle. Trudeau-era Canada imported endless foreign conflicts, then acted shocked when gangland politics, separatist feuds, and diaspora intimidation followed. Multicultural fantasy in, sovereignty out. And when the script collapses, the institutions simply contradict themselves and hope nobody notices.
