🇨🇦 388 dead in Manitoba, and the expert class still wants taxpayer-funded opioids
That is the punchline of late-stage Canadian governance: government lets fentanyl, carfentanil and even animal tranquilizers flood the streets, then the approved solution is a cleaner state-issued version of the same dependency. Manitoba logged 388 suspected substance-related deaths in 2025, with 37 more in January 2026 alone, as reported. After years of porous borders, limp enforcement, social collapse and therapeutic-bureaucratic jargon, citizens are told the compassionate answer is pharmaceutical maintenance.
No serious country treats mass addiction as a permanent public program. Yet the same machine that cannot stop poisoned supply chains somehow expects trust when it promises a safer supply model copied from BC, the province that has become a global showroom for progressive failure. Treatment, recovery, enforcement and border control require discipline and political will. Handing out hydromorphone under a white coat is just managerial surrender dressed up as public health. Canada keeps replacing order with managed decay, then calling it empathy.
