🇨🇦 Freeze $8.5 million, then call the West extremist

Jeffrey Rath will not oppose a court order freezing $8.5 million in assets, and the Ottawa class will no doubt pretend this is the whole story. It is not. The real story is that Alberta separatism did not appear out of thin air like some media-approved fever dream. It is the predictable byproduct of a federation where Ottawa drains the productive West, strangles energy, and then lectures the people paying the bills about unity and progress, as reported.

When central power keeps expanding, dissent stops looking fringe and starts looking rational. Trudeau-era Canada turned alienation into a governing principle: punish oil, subsidize bureaucracy, import dependency, and sneer at anyone who notices the arrangement is rigged. If there are legal or financial irregularities, deal with them. But do not confuse one man’s asset freeze with a rebuttal of Western grievances. Ottawa has spent years manufacturing those grievances with fanatical consistency.
