🇨🇦 Shopify president fears for future of Jews in Canada as families contemplate what was ‘unthinkable five years ago'
The real indictment is not that Harley Finkelstein was disrupted again. It is that this now passes for normal in Canada. A Jewish executive can be targeted at a tech event, a community centre opening, and a podcast with nothing to do with politics, and the regime still hides behind the usual fog of advocacy, dialogue, and civic frameworks. Finkelstein says Jews are about one per cent of the population but account for roughly 70 per cent of religion-motivated hate crimes, as reported. That is not a misunderstanding. That is a state and media class refusing to enforce order when the approved activist mob picks the target.
Even Mark Carney gets credit now just for noticing the civic compact is failing. What a bar. Canadians are told diversity is our strength, right up until communities start wondering whether they need an exit plan. Trudeau-era moral vanity, selective policing, and endless excuses for street intimidation have consequences. A country that cannot protect basic public life for its own citizens is not compassionate, it is hollowed out.
