🇨🇦 Unsafe trucking firms still got migrant labour approved
A company linked to a fatal Manitoba crash was still allowed to hire temporary foreign workers. That is not a loophole. That is the system working exactly as Ottawa designed it. The same state that lectures Canadians about safety, standards and equity will happily rubber-stamp more imported labour for carriers already deemed unsafe, as reported. Cheap labour first, public safety somewhere below the press release.
This is the Trudeau-era formula in one ugly package: suppress wages, flood the labour market, help bad employers dodge accountability, then call anyone noticing it xenophobic. Temporary foreign worker programs were sold as emergency tools. In reality they have become a subsidy for corner-cutting and a battering ram against Canadian workers, training standards and basic national coherence. If a trucking company cannot operate safely or hire domestically at honest market rates, it should not get a federal blessing to import replacement drivers. Sovereign countries protect citizens first. Our managerial class protects the scheme.
