🇨🇦 B.C. admits the housing fire sale after helping light the match
David Eby now compares condo buying to a liquidation sale, which is a cute line from a premier governing the province where ordinary Canadians got priced out years ago. When the political class spends a decade pumping demand, smothering supply, and cheering endless population growth as economic magic, of course the endgame is desperation dressed up as policy. Even Eby is admitting the market is distorted, as reported, but notice the scam: they describe the wreckage like a weather event, not the direct result of elite decisions.
This is the Trudeau era in miniature, with provincial accomplices. Flood the country, moralize against anyone who notices, then act shocked when homes turn into speculative chips and younger citizens are told to be grateful for smaller boxes at worse prices. Mark Carney style managerial liberalism offers the same medicine that caused the disease: more state choreography, more market distortion, less national sanity. Housing was never just about zoning. It was about sovereignty, numbers, and whether Canada is run for its own people at all.
