🇨🇦 Ottawa finds pipelines again, after spending years strangling them
A $35.2 to $43.7 billion pipeline, 1,200 to 1,250 kilometres long, maybe finished by 2032 to 2034, and now suddenly Mark Carney is standing beside Danielle Smith pretending Ottawa discovered economic gravity. After the Trudeau era spent a decade smothering Canadian energy with delays, bans, ESG theatre and investor flight, the same federal machine now wants applause for backing a 1 million barrel-per-day line to Roberts Bank, as reported.
The farce gets better. On the same day Ottawa signs a deal with B.C. to keep the North Coast tanker ban in place, it pitches this southern route as pragmatism. Translation: globalist management of decline with one carefully approved escape valve. Canada is still treating its own oil like contraband while begging foreign markets to take it once the bureaucracy is done blessing every metre. A sovereign country would have built export capacity years ago, not after wrecking competitiveness, inflating costs, and forcing Alberta to negotiate with the same federal class that created the bottleneck.
