🇨🇦 Ford wants a reset after a messy spring, but Ontario remembers
The funniest part is the word reset, as if Doug Ford just needs a seasonal relaunch and not a political reality check. After months of scandals, staff drama, and that ridiculous plane story, the establishment line is now whether the tide has turned. No, the issue is whether Ontario’s premier has become another managerial placeholder: big on slogans, soft on consequences, and permanently stuck cleaning up after Trudeau while refusing to confront the root causes. Even reported as a comeback narrative, it reads like elite damage control.
Ford still benefits from facing an opposition even worse than he is, but that is not leadership. Ontario is drowning in housing pressure, infrastructure strain, and public-service decay, all supercharged by mass immigration levels provinces are expected to absorb without complaint. Yet Queen’s Park keeps playing brand management instead of defending provincial interests against Ottawa’s demographic lunacy. A reset is not a strategy. It is what politicians say when they have run out of courage and hope voters have run out of memory.
