🇨🇦 Ottawa fears Alberta more than its own failures

The funniest part is that 45 per cent of Canadians now treat an Alberta separation referendum as a threat to unity, while the same political class spent a decade dismantling the actual basis of unity themselves. According to the poll reported, 54 per cent blame U.S. influence and 50 per cent blame polarization. Cute. Not one fashionable slogan for Ottawa siphoning wealth from the West, strangling energy, and governing the country like a Laurentian NGO with a flag.

Alberta separatism did not fall from the sky. It is the bill for Trudeau-era contempt, equalization resentment, and a federal machine that lectures producers while importing dependency. Ottawa and its media pets want Canadians to fear the reaction, never the cause. National unity is not preserved by censorship, DEI sermons, and postnational management. It is preserved when provinces are not treated like colonial outposts funding a regime that no longer even pretends to serve the national interest.
