🇨🇦 Life sentence in Canada now comes with an exit option

A convicted murderer serving life escaped from a B.C. prison, because of course he did. This is what a soft-state looks like: endless lectures about public safety, endless funding for bureaucracy, and somehow the killer still walks out. The federal corrections machine can’t keep a lifer locked up, but it never misses a seminar on inclusion and rehabilitation. That is the level of regime competence reported.

Canada’s ruling class loves to posture about compassion while ordinary people absorb the risk. Violent criminals get managed, studied and accommodated; citizens get press releases and vague assurances. This is the Trudeau-era formula across the board: ideological vanity at the top, public disorder on the ground. A sovereign country protects its people first. Ours seems more interested in protecting the feelings of institutions that fail at their most basic job.
