🇨🇦 BC Conservatives pick an insider and call it renewal

Kerry-Lynne Findlay has won the BC Conservatives leadership, which is a neat little test of whether the right in British Columbia wants an actual insurgency or just a tidier manager for decline. The establishment will pretend this is serious conservative momentum, but reported facts say something simpler: a former Harper cabinet minister is now tasked with turning public rage over crime, housing collapse, drugs and social disorder into something respectable enough for the same class that helped build the mess.

BC does not need another polite custodian of managed decline while Ottawa floods the country, local institutions worship DEI catechism, and voters get lectured about compassion as communities deteriorate. If Findlay is just another safe pair of hands for donors, consultants and media gatekeepers, this goes nowhere. If she understands that sovereignty starts with borders, law, order and a government that serves citizens before every imported grievance industry, then maybe there is life here. British Columbia has had enough theatre.
