Carney spent decades at the WEF and Goldman Sachs learning how to manage optics for globalist audiences, not how to defend national interests against a transactional president. He's treating CUSMA renegotiation like a moral crusade instead of an economic necessity. Every week of this standoff costs jobs, investment, and leverage. But at least he looked principled in Davos.
