No mystery here: carbon taxes, regulatory strangulation of domestic energy, and a decade of anti-resource ideology have consequences. Canadians are paying more at the pump because Ottawa decided virtue signaling to Davos was more important than energy sovereignty. Meanwhile, the Bank of Canada will keep interest rates elevated, crushing mortgage holders and small businesses while the Liberals pretend inflation is just bad luck.
