🇨🇦 Carney ships Trudeau loyalist to Brussels as golden parachute

Jonathan Wilkinson — environment and natural resources minister under Trudeau, architect of emissions cap nonsense — wasn't good enough for Carney's cabinet but is apparently perfect to represent Canada in the EU. Translation: too toxic domestically, send him overseas. The Liberals are down to a 172-169 majority and can't afford a byelection loss in North Vancouver, so they park him in Brussels with a diplomatic pension. Wilkinson himself admitted this is an emotional moment because he's stepping aside as an MP. Emotional for him, convenient for Carney.

The EU posting is the perfect reward for a decade of carbon tax cheerleading and pipeline obstruction. Now he gets to lecture Europeans on sustainability while Canada still can't move its own oil east to west. Carney calls it vast experience. The rest of us call it a buyout.
