🇨🇦 Ottawa offers early retirement to bureaucrats — except the ones who actually matter

Trudeau's bloated public service gets a penalty-free exit ramp, but RCMP officers, border agents, CSIS analysts, and CSE cyber operators are explicitly barred from taking it. The same agencies drowning in recruitment crises and operational chaos are now forbidden from letting anyone leave early, while diversity consultants and climate coordinators can cash out whenever they please. The auditor general confirmed last month the RCMP can't even recruit enough officers to meet basic needs, yet here we are.

This is the federal playbook: expand the managerial state, hollow out operational capacity, then pretend austerity by trimming the wrong people. Border security gets $1.3 billion for 1,000 new hires while seasoned officers are locked in. Meanwhile, the dead weight floats away on golden parachutes.
