The same media that cheered mass immigration to fill labour gaps now wrings its hands when Quebec dares enforce secular standards in publicly funded spaces. Nearly 200 school monitors already quit over similar rules. The CAQ doesn't even know how many daycare workers wear religious symbols, but daycares insist it's devastating. Grandstanding directors claim limiting hijabs in taxpayer-funded centres somehow destroys children's tolerance, as if secularism itself is intolerant.
