🇨🇦 Carney Manufactures a Majority Through Floor-Crossing, Not Democracy
Mark Carney didn't earn a majority — he's assembling one through backroom defections. Five MPs have crossed the floor to join the Liberals, including four former Conservatives: Chris d'Entremont, Michael Ma, Matt Jeneroux, and Marilyn Gladu. Poilievre called it correctly — these are dirty backroom deals dressed up as principled realignment. Carney stood before thousands of flag-wavers in Montreal quoting Wilfrid Laurier and calling floor-crossers a sign of strength. That's one way to spin it. Another way: when you can't win seats outright, you buy the ones that already exist.
Gladu — a social conservative who opposed abortion and LGBTQ+ policy mandates — is now being told she'll vote with the government on those very issues. That's not unity. That's a leash with a Liberal logo on it. Carney's convention speech was a globalist greatest-hits album: diversity is strength, the world is rupturing, only we can lead. The WEF graduate is consolidating power, and the media is applauding every step.
