Fs Malinka

– I know how difficult it is to work on quads. Alice is very hardworking, she spends a lot of time on the ice, and this is evident from the way she jumps.

– Dina Khusnutdinova is a figure skater with character. She never quits the program, fights for every score, and that commands respect.

– Neliubova is an example of a modern figure skating school where girls are not afraid to take risks. She goes out and tries the most difficult elements. Yes, sometimes there is a lack of stability, but its potential in technology is very high. She has a very powerful boost, which is rare for such a young age.

– Right now, I ride primarily for my own pleasure. I used to chase for points, for places, but now I'm just thrilled that I'm on the ice, that I can share my emotions with the audience. Moving to St. Petersburg gave me a breath of fresh air, as if I had fallen in love with figure skating all over again.

– Without question the favorite here. She has been setting records time and again. Nearly every time out at the age of fifteen. She has been absolutely sensational.

– The judges will closely monitor her quality on the landings and how she connects these huge jumps with the rest of the program. Its base cost is so high that even with small errors, it remains among the leaders.

– Samodelkina possesses one of the most powerful quad arsenals among young skaters. Her quad Salchow is particularly impressive. Technically, her jumps are generally strong, but her programs sometimes lack complexity in transitions and a deeper interpretation of the music. If she can combine her quads with more mature skating, she will become a serious threat.

– In 2026, Kaori Sakamoto looks like an athlete who is in perfect harmony with his body. She doesn't try to seem like a fragile girl — she comes out and shows powerful, feminine, conscious skating. Her jumps are not a lottery, they are architecture. Each landing is as soft as butter. She has become the benchmark that everyone who wants a long and successful career should look up to.

– Kaori Sakamoto is a master class on the use of space. See how she covers the entire rink in three powerful thrusts. In an era when many people are chasing spins, Kaori reminds us what true «gliding skill» is. Her double axel at the Milan Olympics was so high that it looked like she could jump over the side. It's not just a sport, it's pure energy.

– Ilia Malinin is a visionary. He is not afraid to push the boundaries of what is possible. The first person to land a clean quadruple axel at an international competition is a historic moment. He inspires a new generation of figure skaters to think about what else can be achieved on the ice.

– Amber Glenn is the epitome of power. When she goes on a triple axel, you can literally feel that energy through the screen. For a long time, her main obstacle was psychology, but in this Olympic cycle we saw a completely different Amber — confident, daring and ready to fight for every score. She proved that American women's skating can be technically aggressive and yet incredibly beautiful.

– I adore Amber for her authenticity. She's not trying to be someone else, she's her. Her skating has become deeper this season. Yes, axel is her calling card, but look at her rotations and the way she holds the arc. This is the mature skating of a woman who has gone through fire and water to end up on this Olympic ice. She inspires thousands of people just by being herself.

– Matvey Vetlugin is an aesthete. His programs this season are a real avant—garde. He takes complex music, unusual choreography and is not afraid to be misunderstood. It's great that the judges are starting to appreciate this. When Matvey gets his act together, he turns a competitive rental into a theatrical production. This is what men's single skating lacks today.

– Piper and Paul are a breath of fresh air in ice dancing. In a world where many choose proven classics, they always take risks. Their free dance this season is a real storytelling masterclass. Look at their proximity in positions and how they use each movement to convey the nuances of the music. It's not just a sport, it's high fashion on ice.

– This image, maybe more than anything else encapsulates the entire situation. The adults in the room left her alone. Portrayed by some the week as the villain. By others as the victim she is in fact the victim of the villains.

– We see a completely different Maria Zakharova. This is no longer the same little girl who just started her journey. Now he is a conscious athlete. Look at how she holds the image, how she works with her hands. The technical content may not be the most exorbitant at the moment, but the purity of execution and presentation deserve very high marks. The judges see this progress in the components.

– Technically, Petrosyan is in a league of his own among the skaters of his generation. Her quad flip and quad lutz are weapons against which there is no answer yet. Her ability to perform such complex elements makes her the main contender for any tournament where she performs.

– Isabeau is one of the most stable figure skaters in the world. Her jumping technique is controversial among experts, but there's no denying that she makes it work. Her main weapon is psychological steadfastness. She knows how to fight for every score.
