URANIUM FINANCE HACKER CONVICTED IN $54.7M HEIST

Jonathan Spalletta, known online as “Cthulhon,” has been found guilty by a federal jury in Manhattan for orchestrating the 2021 theft of $54.7 million from Uranium Finance.

According to prosecutors, Spalletta laundered the stolen cryptocurrency through Tornado Cash before funneling significant portions of the proceeds into rare Pokémon cards and other niche collectibles.

Having turned himself in, Spalletta now faces up to 30 years in prison at sentencing.
