Your intuition may tell you that the more cautious you are, the less you lose as an investor.
🌟 It’s only partly true.
The trap most investors fall into is measuring confidence against knowledge. The more they know, the more confident they feel.
At the same time, this very high confidence may lead you to riskier decisions that have nothing to do with actual knowledge.
A real paradox in play: you know more, and somehow end up exposed to more.
There’s also another group worth looking at. Investors who underinvest because they've spent three months on a platform and haven't "figured it all out yet." Statistically, this is the same error — just from the other end of the confidence spectrum.
Excessive confidence is a cognitive error. Excessive caution is too.
🌟 What you can do about it?
There's no moment when you'll finally know enough. The goal is to make decisions proportional to what you actually know — and to notice when emotion is doing the math instead of you.
