Description: NuCypher builds day-one-decentralized access control plugins & extensions, and is a major contributor to the Threshold Network (tBTC, TACo, tUSD, Random Beacon).
After 5 years of R&D, we recently launched the world's first decentralized, general-purpose end-to-end encryption API and network. To oversimplify a little, imagine integrating Signal's end-to-end encryption functionality into any app, but compatible with all kinds of data, sharing patterns, and conditions for access. Like Tor, the network of independent nodes running TACo software (120 and counting) is pseudonymous and censorship-resistant – without any centralized servers, it’s almost impossible to shut TACo down.



Looking For: Description:
TACo is looking for a Solutions Engineer to write robust security-first code and build example web and mobile applications. They will take ownership of and increase the utility of the taco-web library and API.

Requirements:
Deep knowledge of Typescript, Javascript and React
Experience with DevOps, CI/CD processes, Git, automated testing, and other software development best practices
Experience with solution engineering, open source development, or doc writing
Experience working with Ethereum and Polygon
Verbal and written technical English

Responsibilities:
Write robust, security-first code that will facilitate the sharing of sensitive data in adversarial environments
Build example web and mobile applications that feature trust-minimized access control as a primary value proposition
Own and increase the utility of the taco-web library and API by adding more functionality and improving developer experience
Work with TACo’s adopting developers to optimize the product and protocol
Review team members’ code to collaboratively identify bugs and correct security issues, and improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes

Salary: $75k - $110k
