🇫🇷The riots in France left 150 police officers injured, over 1,200 people arrested, and significant property damage, as peaceful protests intersected with violent outbreaks in multiple cities.
Damage was widespread, with buildings burned, shops ransacked, and vandalism targeting city halls and businesses.

While hundreds of thousands — with government figures citing about 550,000 participants and union estimates up to 800,000 — marched peacefully, violent fringe groups targeted public buildings, looted shops, and attacked police.

Clashes were reported in Paris, Lyon, Marseille, Limoges, Saint‑Étienne, and other cities. Riot police used tear gas and water cannons, and in some cases charged with batons.

Notable incidents included:
▪️Limoges: City hall set ablaze, causing part of the roof to collapse
▪️Lyon: Tourist office torched
▪️Saint‑Étienne: A young protester lost a hand after picking up a stun grenade
▪️Paris: Fires lit in street and vehicles, including at Place de la République.
