Schoolchildren are burning France.
Children have been shaking the country for a month now due to the excessive number of classes, the high cost of education, and the poor quality of it. Now they've been joined by students, farmers, activists, and trade unions—up to 450,000 people in total—protesting against high gasoline prices, rising housing and food prices, and the social crisis.
The protests have been accompanied by riots, car burnings, and clashes with police. In Marseille, the city hall building was seized, and in Bordeaux, the historic Palais de la Bourse was partially destroyed.
