A clownery worthy of a film adaptation

During a pursuit of a man attempting to swim across the Dniester River, the current carried them to Moldova, where they were detained.

According to State Border Service spokesman Demchenko, border guards spotted the man and followed him in a boat. Despite the man's resistance, they managed to catch up with him, but the boat's engine stalled and the current carried it toward the Moldovan shore.

There, the group was met by people who pulled the boat ashore. Police then arrived and detained the man attempting to swim across the Dniester. His whereabouts are currently unknown.
