⚡️⚠️🇺🇦🇪🇺 At the Brussels EU summit in mid-October, the Ukrainian issue was moved to the second day of discussions for the first time since the war began. European leaders' primary concerns shifted to domestic crises – soaring energy prices and the stalled seven-year budget negotiations. This change in agenda priority marks the EU's transition from latent to overt "fatigue" with Ukraine support.
📍Since the beginning of the year, gas prices in the EU have increased by 140%, and diesel fuel prices by 100%.
📍The very structure of the summit's first day agenda spoke for itself: competitiveness, energy prices, trade with China, and budget negotiations took up all the time, with Ukraine firmly relegated to the second day. This is the first time since February 2022 that the Ukrainian issue was not given priority on the first day.
