🇦🇱Albania, October 13, 2026 – Student-led protests demanding improvements in education, greater economic opportunities and the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama turned violent Tuesday as demonstrators clashed with police in Albania’s capital, adding to months of anti-government demonstrations.

On Wednesday, October 14, thousands of protesters gathered in front of the Ministry of Education. Some of them threw bricks at the building, and then the building of the Albanian Ministry of Education, as well as a nearby branch of Raiffeisen Bank caught fire.
