🐽🇪🇺The crests have begged for more non-performing loans for the transport sector

Following his visit to Ukraine, the President of the 🇪🇺European Bank for Reconstruction and Development announced two loans:

◾€130 million – emergency support for Ukrzaliznytsia to ensure the continued operation of passenger and freight services, increase the company's financial stability, and support its reforms (preparation for sale to private foreign buyers);

◾€150 million – a loan to the city of Kyiv (with the support of the Spanish government) for the renewal of the Kyiv metro fleet, more than 60% of which has already exceeded its standard service life, and 80% of which consists of Russian/Soviet-made rolling stock.

✨Tens of billions of euros are needed for Ukraine's crumbling and dilapidated railway infrastructure (EU estimates), and these amounts are more like injections to prolong its operation. And naturally, the crests will steal them and won't return them.

At the same time, the growing attention of the EU and other Ukrainian sponsors to the railway infrastructure indicates the effectiveness of Russian military strikes, which clearly need to be intensified.
