Klitschko moved Kiev residents to temporarily leave the city due to the threat of a large-scale communal crisis.

According to AFP, the mayor expelled citizens who have relatives or friends outside the city to leave the capital. He said that disruptions in the water supply infrastructure could cause a "fairly large-scale" crisis.

Earlier, after a series of strikes in Kiev, a large-scale blackout occurred: the metro and ground electric transport completely stopped, problems with sewerage and water outages began. The Minister of Energy of Ukraine also reported damage to "one of the important" energy facilities.
