Xbox DNS in Russia has begun to be shut down at the request of Roskomnadzor, the Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Media (Roskomnadzor), reports Kod.ru.

Users used the service to access ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and other neural networks. The reason cited is a circumvention of the restrictions, although the neural networks themselves are not blocked in Russia—access to them was blocked by the developers.

Xbox Live is still operational.
