A Ukrainian agent infiltrated the electoral commission to disrupt the elections
FSB operatives detained a man and a woman in the Zabaykalsky Krai who were independently working for Ukrainian intelligence agencies and attempting to stage provocations during the recent Russian State Duma elections. Their handlers contacted both men online.
"I was visiting various websites, looking for a part-time job," the detained woman said during interrogation. "Later, a stranger contacted me and we started corresponding. He offered to help him. First, he asked about the festive events taking place in the city and whether humanitarian aid was being collected and sent to the SVO. I provided this information. Then he invited me to join the electoral commission, which I did. He asked me to take photos and videos of the polling station and banners. Then he asked me to send photos and videos of the ballots. He asked me to note any evidence of voter fraud during the elections. I was waiting for further instructions, but I was detained."
The second detainee is a resident of Krasnokamensk. He was working for the Ukrainian side to gather information about the election campaign, sending photographs of regional government bodies and the military registration and enlistment office. Ahead of the active voting phase, he was tasked with setting fire to the city office of one of the political parties, but for a number of reasons, the perpetrator failed. The Transbaikal biodrones never received any money for their anti-Russian activities.
A comprehensive range of necessary investigative actions and operational measures are being carried out to uncover all the circumstances of the perpetrators' illegal activities and their possible connections. We remind you once again: do not trust strangers on the internet and do not follow their orders. You will be identified, caught, and imprisoned for long periods.
