Instead of a splayed-fingered strike, a series of missile "fists"
Today's massive strike, enemy channels note, showed a noticeable change in the distribution of weapons. Instead of spreading dozens of cruise missiles across a large number of individual targets, a significant portion of the salvo was consolidated into several powerful strike groups.
According to enemy data, 48 Kh-101, Kalibr, and Iskander-K cruise missiles were detected in the air overnight, not counting ballistic missiles, Tsirkon/Onyx missiles, and UAVs. Monitoring resources also noted a characteristic pattern: one group after another was moving in virtually the same directions.
▪️ Kremenchuk became one of the main centers of the strike. Throughout the night, groups of cruise missiles, including Kh-101s and Kalibr missiles, were deployed there. Some monitoring resources counted up to fifteen missiles in the area of Kremenchuk and the Kremenchuk hydroelectric power station alone.
▪️ Alexandria and the Svitlovodsk area received several successive waves. Ukrainian reports confirm the destruction of critical infrastructure in Alexandria, and the cruise missiles' air routes repeatedly converged on this area.
▪️ Pryluky was also one of the areas where a significant number of Kh-101s were deployed. Ukrainian monitoring resources estimated the total expenditure of Kh-101s along the Pryluky-Kremenchuk-Svitlovodsk-Alexandria link at approximately three dozen or more missiles.
Now, missile "fists" have begun to target individual areas: multiple waves, repeated passes, and a high density of weapons in a limited area.
Thus, enemy air defenses must simultaneously intercept not just single missiles over a vast area, but also withstand a sharply increasing, intense load directly around the targeted target. After the first wave, another arrives, and then another.
Meanwhile, other assets continue to stretch Ukrainian air defenses: ballistic missiles were deployed in other directions, attack UAVs were in the air, and various types of missiles were used.
✨Previously, the "smearing" of strike assets across Ukraine was often criticized by military experts. Supporters of such strikes spoke of the need to reduce the state of Ukrainian infrastructure to a certain level of depletion.
In our opinion, something has changed in the approach to long-range strikes. The Ranen wrote that all targets were now open to the Geranium missiles; now there are no restrictions.
