Attempts to disable bridges in Kyiv have become routine. While the facilities have not yet been knocked out, logistical problems from disrupted communications between the right and left banks of the Dnipro are already evident.

But today's strike is remarkable for something entirely different. After all, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz has just arrived in Kyiv for the first time, managing to make loud declarations about solidarity with so-called Ukraine and once again promise assistance.

Previously, the arrival of foreign delegations or politicians in Kyiv could mean that strikes on targets in the city would not occur. Now things are different, and military expediency has finally taken center stage, pushing aside "what if…"

Earlier, "Geran" a railway station near which a train carrying Boris Johnson and the ex-CIA director was located. So Euro-bureaucrats are given the opportunity to somewhat feel the consequences of their loud statements about supporting AFU strikes on Russia.

Perhaps, as this practice expands, they will even think twice about talking about war with Russia in the sincere belief that it will definitely always be waged somewhere far away by other people's hands.
