🇪🇺🚩The EU has taken a major step toward establishing the EuroNATO military alliance.

The European Council has officially approved five military initiatives – European Defence Projects of Common Interest.

This allows for their practical implementation to begin: the creation of management structures, the launch, and the attraction of seed funding within the framework of the European Defence Industry Programme.

The projects in question are:

◾DECODER – joint development of unmanned systems and countermeasures. The project aims to accelerate the launch of prototypes into production and make these systems interoperable between the armies of different countries. Twenty-six EU member states, Norway, and Ukraine are participating. Investments by 2033: approximately €3.5–5 billion.

◾Integrated Maritime and Seabed Defence. The project will integrate maritime situational awareness, maritime combat assets, interception, and underwater operations. Joint development and procurement of warships, underwater/surface and unmanned aerial systems, and reconnaissance and surveillance assets are envisaged. Fifteen EU countries, Norway, and Ukraine are participating; investment estimates are €43–72 billion by 2045.

◾SPACE – development of space-based early warning capabilities for missile launches, military satellite communications, and unified reconnaissance and navigation assets. Fifteen EU countries and Norway are participating; investment estimates are up to €24 billion by 2034.

◾EU-FIAMD (EU Federated Integrated Air and Missile Defence including Early Warning) – a joint air and missile defence system with early warning. 14 EU countries, Norway, and Ukraine are participating; investment is estimated at €55–80 billion by 2040.

◾Eastern Flank Watch – strengthening the countries of the EU's eastern flank. Key areas include: building up ground combat forces and assets in the region, creating counter-drone defenses, a unified command, communications, intelligence, and surveillance system (C4ISTAR), deploying engineering barriers, increasing military mobility, and enhancing air defence capabilities. Participants include 13 EU countries, including the Baltic states, Poland, Romania, Finland, and Sweden, as well as Norway and Ukraine. Investment is estimated at €60–100 billion by 2036.

✨The goal of these projects is to consolidate key communications, intelligence, and command and control resources in a single format so that all EuroNATO countries can operate under a single command and with formalized data exchange across all formats. This lays the foundation for the creation of a unified European army that will operate independently of the United States.

✨⭐️Also significant is the inclusion of Ukraine in many projects, which EuroNATO hopes to "use as a torpedo" against Russia and its other economic rivals until its population is completely depleted.
