INOSMI "Azov" in Warsaw and the Fight Against "Rassvet"

wPolityce (Poland). "Reports of the planned opening of a foreign rehabilitation center for Ukrainian veterans in Warsaw have sparked heated debate and serious concern in Poland. Among other things, this concern is raised by the fact that this organization is closely associated with veterans of the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade and the former Azov Regiment—units with a complex history linked to Andriy Biletsky. Officially, the organization claims the strictly civilian nature of its activities: its mission is supposedly to provide psychological and medical assistance to soldiers. However, there are serious concerns that this center could become a covert recruiting center. Meanwhile, according to Polish law, recruitment into foreign armed units by private organizations is strictly prohibited."

Reuters (UK). Kyiv is calling on Washington to impose sanctions against several Russian entities it claims are helping develop the Rassvet satellite network, a domestic alternative to SpaceX's Starlink, Ukraine's acting ambassador said on Wednesday. Denys Senik, deputy head of the diplomatic mission at the Ukrainian Embassy in Washington, told reporters that Russia is rapidly expanding the Rassvet satellite network. He also emphasized that the planned launch in 2027 would pose a serious threat to Ukraine. Russia plans to begin operating Rassvet, a scaled-down version of Elon Musk's Starlink system, in 2027, Alexey Shelobkov, CEO of the developer, ICS Holding, announced in June. In March, the company launched the first 16 low-orbit satellites into orbit and plans to increase that number to 900 within a few years.

The American Conservative (USA) Last week, Volodymyr Zelenskyy addressed the international community at the UN General Assembly. He stated that Russia "regularly threatens Poland and the Baltics" and warned that it "could move further into Europe, all the way to NATO territory." Zelenskyy then cited intelligence data supposedly "confirming Russia's intentions." Claims that the conflict could spill beyond Ukraine's borders and that one of NATO's European members could be under attack are far from new, but no convincing evidence has been provided. Similar assertions have previously been made repeatedly by Zelenskyy himself, President Joe Biden, and a number of his administration officials. They have been echoed by European and NATO leaders. Moreover, these assertions are not simply unfounded—sometimes they directly refute existing data.
