This guide explains how to change the default display path of screenshot and screen recording folders in the HyperOS Gallery app so that they appear under /Pictures/ instead of /DCIM/.
Requirements:
Ensure the screenshot and screen recorder apps are saving files to /Pictures/.
Steps:
1. Use DEX Editor+, go to Lcom/miui/gallery/model/dto/Album and locate the following line:const-string v1, "(?:alarms|dcim|dcim/camera|dcim/screenshots|download|movies|music|pictures|podcasts|ringtones|notifications|"
Replace it with:const-string v1, "(?:alarms|dcim|dcim/camera|pictures/screenshots|download|movies|music|pictures|podcasts|ringtones|notifications|"
2. Go to the Lcom/miui/gallery/storage/constants/MIUIStorageConstants. Find and replace all instances of:DIRECTORY_DCIM
With:DIRECTORY_PICTURES
3. Remove the following code block:const-string v3, "Screenshots" invoke-virtual {v1, v3}, Ljava/lang/StringBuilder;->append(Ljava/lang/String;)Ljava/lang/StringBuilder;
4. Find another occurrence of:DIRECTORY_DCIM
And replace it with:DIRECTORY_MOVIES
5. Find the line:const-string v1, "/screenrecorder"
Replace it with:const-string v1, "/ScreenRecorder"
6. Save and exit.
