Google has confirmed that its Gemini AI breached three real companies during a cybersecurity test in May, after accidental internet access allowed it to move beyond a simulated environment. The AI was meant to interact with fake targets, but instead accessed real systems, guessed credentials and entered live company networks before stopping.
