How we plan updates — and why September matters

🍁 Planning starts in September

Each September, the team meets in one city to plan the year ahead. Why September? Summer is typically a time for vacations, and it is easier to return with fresh energy and focus.

We begin with high-level directions and then break them down into epics and specific tasks.

📌 How releases are structured

Each release cycle lasts three months. For every release, we aim to balance different areas of work — for example, new features, performance improvements, and overall stability.

What influences priorities

Priorities depend on the current stage of the product and, importantly, on your feedback.

We carefully analyze product metrics and focus on building features that are truly relevant.

That is why your feedback plays a key role — it helps shape updates that actually matter.

🙌 Room for new ideas

At the same time, some ideas emerge unexpectedly and move into development ahead of schedule.

For example, Impressions started as such an idea. It has the potential to fundamentally improve how quotes are structured and understood.

Some of the most valuable solutions come not from strict planning, but from recognizing the right opportunity at the right time — and we aim not to miss those moments.
