📌 Tesla's new car Roadster flew using SpaceX technology.
Tesla has unveiled its next-generation Roadster car at a SpaceX test facility in McGregor, Texas, USA.
The display first showed the vehicle moving upside down on a ramp. Then, using a cold-gas thruster developed in collaboration with SpaceX, the vehicle flew into the air, exploded in mid-air, and landed upright again.
At the exhibition, the car took just 0.81 seconds to reach speeds of 0 to 60 miles per hour (about 97 kilometers).
Tesla claims that the car's highest-capacity "Rocket" version can reach a top speed of more than 230 miles per hour (about 370 kilometers per hour). The company has set a target of starting production of the car in 2028.
The use of SpaceX's thruster technology in the vehicle has created new discussions about the design and capabilities of conventional electric vehicles.
