At least five Palestinians were killed this afternoon in a horrific Israeli attack on a group of civilians in western Gaza City, as Israeli assaults across the besieged territory intensify.

The killings come as Gaza marks the first anniversary of the US-backed ceasefire, which Israel has continued to breach through repeated attacks and deadly strikes.
